“I think the style is leaning towards the French influence,” Tienie says, “with bits of other things like ‘country’. But it’s basically French and I really like it.” She has a great ally in Kathie, from Country Interiors in Penrith, who has provided suggestions and support throughout the process.
“We’re on the same page all the time,” Tienie admits. “I knew in my head what I wanted and described it to Kathie and whatever it was, she found it for me. I’ve only got to come up with an idea and she makes it a reality, usually within a week, by tracking it down on the net. It’s much more than just selling for her,” she adds. “She’s genuinely interested in wanting you to have your dream. She paid me a huge compliment recently when she said she never thought she’d ever want any dark timber in her house, but after seeing ours – and we’ve got both – she’s come around to it.”
